Job Description


The Senior Manager of HR Technology is responsible for the directing the strategy, maintenance, design, security and data integrity of FirstKey Home’s human resource information system (HRIS). This role will optimize system usage across the organization and ensure data integrity is maintained. S/he will assist with conducting regular system audits, reinforce system policies and procedures to govern system usage and enhance operational efficiency.  The Senior Manager will also be responsible for building data dashboards, generating data insights for human capital programming and managing the communication of these insights to the organization.

  • Serve as HRIS system administrator and oversee system planning, implementation, and ongoing maintenance. Includes implementation of system enhancements such as self-service functionality, upgrades, patches and testing new features to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Oversee day-to-day relationships with vendors and IT partners to ensure service levels are met and issues are addressed proactively as well as shared system feeds and integrations are aligned and maintained.
  • Manage and resolve escalated and/or complex system issues with internal partners and vendor. Provide technical support to team members regarding HRIS functionality and guide them on technical processes to answer questions and troubleshoot issues.
  • Partner cross-functionally to develop and document business requirements for HRIS solutions that will optimize HR processes and enhance company operations.
  • In partnership with SMEs, develop and maintain a system for documenting all compensation and benefits processes and procedures completed within HRIS to include but not limited to: Goal Planning, Performance Management, Merit, Incentives, Benefits Enrollment, among other company initiatives, etc.
  • Utilize HRIS to maintain audit-ready employee data and manage PTO, time tracking, onboarding, and offboarding processes
  • Engage HR disciplines such as compensation, benefits, and talent acquisition to understand reporting requirements, how to communicate findings and to train end users on adopting reporting tools.
  • Analyze existing datasets to investigate key trends, performance and issues related to HR data. Interpret data and present insights in appropriate format such as PowerPoint, executive presentations, etc.
  • Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of standard and/or customized reports, managerial dashboards, and executive scorecards. Provide timely and actionable decision support information.
  • Establish auditing protocols and conduct regular data audits to ensure system integrity. Identify discrepancies and mitigate issues by leveraging IT resources and/or developing policies and procedures for system governance.
  • Collaborate with HR team leaders to create, refine, enforce policies and procedures regarding HRIS use and payroll such a tax, FLSA, etc. Ensure adherence to FirstKey Homes, local, state and federal standards.
  • Train, develop, and manage direct reports to achieve organizational goals. Provide coaching to enhance skill sets and departmental capabilities.
  • Stay abreast of HRIS industry best practices and implement solutions to optimize system performance.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience and/or education
  • Minimum 8 years of progressive experience managing and maintaining HRIS systems
  • Advanced proficiency using UltiPro Software in a cloud environment
  • Advanced proficiency using Microsoft Excel to combine and analyze large data sets (i.e. vlookup, pivot tables, formulas, etc.)
  • Proven ability to create and present PowerPoint presentations for senior business leaders and Board of Directors
  • Proven ability to interface with team members from various job levels; C-Suite Executives to Professional Contributors
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth company
