Job Description


The Senior Corporate Paralegal is responsible for providing legal support to the General Counsel and the Legal Function.  The Senior Corporate Paralegal will support the Legal department and corresponding business partners as needed. This role will provide daily support on an array of items including but not limited to support with financing, minutes, organization and preparation, as well as strict adherence to deadlines. The individual must have the proven ability to work independently and as an effective and engaged team member in a fast-paced environment. Strong initiative and follow through are essential for this job.


  • Organize and maintain documents for the Legal department in a paper or electronic filing system
  • Draft correspondence and legal documents, coordinate execution of documentation, and prepare form documents
  • Manage workflows and project deadlines for the department
  • Communicate regularly with internal teams regarding the status of projects and deadlines
  • Under the direction of the General Counsel, resolve routine legal issues and review escalated matters
  • Research and analyze law sources such as statutes, recorded judicial decisions, legal articles, treaties, constitutions, and legal codes to prepare legal documents, such as briefs, pleadings, appeals, contracts, etc.
  • Prepare minutes and board deck materials, written consent, and resolutions
  • Edit financial documents
  • Assist with subpoena requests and litigation

  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or Paralegal Certificate
  • 5-7 years’ experience Solid REIT experience, as well as general Corporate Paralegal experience
  • Ability to manage numerous tasks simultaneously and maintain organized files
  • Proven analytical and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities and work assignments in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally both verbally and in writing with internal and external parties
  • Proven ability to problem-solve, think independently and tackle projects with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated skills in Word, Excel, PDF-based programs, and databases. PowerPoint and Visio preferred
