Overview

This position will support procurement and supply chain activities related to the construction vertical at FirstKey Homes.  The role will focus on strategic negotiation, implementation, and compliance management of cost savings initiatives and projects to improve operational efficiency.



Responsibilities

  • Regular management of supplier relationships and evaluation of supplier performance against contract expectations. Also, this role will require identifying and evaluating new potential suppliers.
  • Creating cost savings initiatives that improve the overall financial performance of the company.
  • Project management of cost savings initiatives as well as other supply chain projects to ensure project success.
  • Financial analysis of projects to develop and present business cases on changes within the supply chain.
  • External market cost benchmarking of current spends and proposed projects.
  • Contract evaluation and management to ensure vendor compliance and acceptable business terms are proposed.
  • Must be able to present to a large cross functional team to gain project approval.
  • Create risk mitigation strategies within assigned categories to assure continuity of supply.
  • Forecast demand and inventory requirements to support internal maintenance purchases

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations
  • 5 Years of procurement experience
  • High level of proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite of Products (specifically Excel, and Powerpoint)

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in sourcing construction materials
  • Experience working within a non-standard supply chain
  • Experience presenting detailed financial analysis
  • Experience compiling a business case for executive approval
  • Experience working in a fast pace, high-growth company
